Flowers from the Garden

Here are some flowers from our backyard, from the mountain behind our backyard and from someone else's backyard. :-)

Enjoy!!! Oh, yeah, and a snake and hawk.
The snake is a California rattlesnake thought to be the Red Diamondback (Crotalus Ruber). I'm not completely convinced but it's the closest I can find. If you find one closer, please show me the website or picture. The head is an important part to see but before it woke up this is the picture I took. After that there was some running involved. :-) ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss trrtrtrtrtrtrtrtr (rattler sound - got to sputter the tongue if you want to get that sound)

The hawk is... well, a Red Tail and the web is from a Spider without a face. I never saw it.

Danny, I enjoyed the photos! Catching the hawk flying by was a difficult shot - well done!
I hope to go on some photo missions with you ;)

Thanks, I still need to get a better one. This hawk has the wing span of about 5 feet easy. He just zips by though.

Spring on the mountain came and went. It's back to good old brown Cali mountains. :-)
